One of the questions we frequently get asked is,"Is my bottle dishwasher safe?". Unfortunately, our bottles are NOT dishwasher safe. The heat created by the washer gets too hot for the bottle to withstand.
The insulation property becomes compromised and your bottle will no longer be able to keep drinks hot for long periods of time. In some cases, the bottle's coating even gets negatively affected! The coating can start to peel or become discolored.
So you may be asking yourself how you're supposed to get to cleaning your bottle/lid.
We have a few recommendations up our sleeves.
1. You can actually use white distilled vinegar for cleaning! The vinegar will remove any stains or discoloring inside of the water bottle. Just put the vinegar in the bottle, swirl it around for a bit, let sit for 5-10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with warm water.
2. Use a bottle brush to reach down deep in the bottle to scrub thoroughly. You can use soap and warm water with the brush as well.
3. Baking Soda. If you mix 1-3 tablespoons of baking soda with some water you will begin to form a paste. Use a bottle brush with this paste to get those tough stains out. Then rinse thoroughly with warm water.
4. This last one is my personal favorite. Do you remember when the Shake Weight was a big deal? Well... our bottle can serve as your own Shake Weight! Fill it with warm water and some soap and get to shaking!!
